Buschmann continues Pro Career in New Role
St Louis Redbirds Hall of Fame inductee Matt Buschmann (2002 Lafayette) had a 10 year professional career making the Major leagues with the Arizona Diamondbacks in making his Major League Debut in 2016.
After being the ace of the historic 2002 St Louis Redbirds team Buschmann went on to pitch at Vanderbilt University before being drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 15th round.
Since retiring from baseball Matt was hired as the assistant director of player development for a short time before he was hired as the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen coach for the 2019 season.
