Former Redbird headed to the SEC

Former St Louis Redbird Ryan O'Connell has committed to the University of Alabama. A sophomore at Wabash Community College in Mount Carmel, Illinois, Ryan has put up some impressive numbers since joining the the Warriors last year as a Freshman. At one of the nations top JUCOs, O'Connell posted a 1.63 ERA in 66.1 innings while striking out 79 batters.

His impressive freshman season drew him looks from a number of Division 1 schools and he has decided that the SEC is where he will go next. Best of luck to Ryan in his future and ROLL TIDE!!
